Staying on Course

We place these in our ears when walking or running. If there’s noise - we simply turn up the volume…

This brings to mind something said in the book of Galatians, on being discerning about what we ‘put in our ears’ or ‘listen to’ and not allowing ‘noise’ to distract us:

Galatians 5:7,8 - “You were running the race beautifully. Who interfered and stopped you from obeying the truth? The arguments influencing you now do not come from The One who called you.”

Together, this community had initially done something truly authentic and priceless…

Their obedience to Gods Word produced a ‘beautiful spiritual stride’ in their lives and relationships…That is, until they entertained popular ‘opinions’… Doing so broke the beautiful pace they had established and quickly led their spiritual lives off of Gods smooth path and into a ditch:

“Our LORD, You always do right, and You make the path smooth for those who obey You.” - [Isa. 26:7]

“…so ignore them. They are blind guides leading the blind, and if one blind person guides another, they will both fall into a ditch.” - [Matt. 15:14]

We’re still surrounded by many of the same worldly, stride-breaking opinions from spiritually blind guides.

Lets all endeavor to keep Gods Word firmly set in our ears… and when offered alternatives, just turn up the volume, step up the pace and stay on course!
