Live a NEW kind of LIFE

King Solomon said these timeless words about humanity’s accomplishments:

“History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new. Sometimes people say, “Here is something new!” But actually it is old; nothing people do is ever truly new. We just don’t remember what happened in the past, and in future generations, no one will remember what we are doing now.” [King Solomon - Eccl. 1:9,10]

We consider what we do as ‘life-changing’ though it isn’t truly new… But we wanted to share about something ‘life-giving’ which God created - that truly is!

“Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator (Who created this new form of life in you) and become like Him.” [Col. 3:10]

Putting on this new life causes ‘renewal of our lives’ and ‘our becoming more like God’!

Normally, people depend on experiences to have a sense of renewal. Here, renewal is not dependent upon our having the right experiences in life - but simply through learning to know our Creator which we can do consistently.

Rather than pursuing ‘living our best lives’ or ‘becoming a better version of ourselves’, God’s new kind of life enables us to become more like Him - not just a slightly improved version of ourselves.

“And I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them. I will take away their stony, stubborn heart and give them a tender, responsive heart,” [Eze. 11:19]

This new life is the missing link to addressing our ‘broken hearts’. Imagine the impact of that on our lives and relationships?!

When it comes to fashion, there is a saying that ‘everything old is new again’...

But, from God's perspective, only what He’s designed for us to put on is truly NEW!
