How to Blossom
“… And if GOD cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and burned as chaff tomorrow, HE will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of people who don’t know GOD, but your heavenly Father already knows all your material needs. But FIRST, make the reigning of GOD (over your life) and what things already have His approval your chief priority. Then all these material things will also be provided FOR you. - [ex. Matt. 6:30-33]
Seeing wild flowers brought this passage to mind… and how thinking this way frees us from the pressure caused by preoccupation with material things.
People may have told us that we should “ONLY” think about spiritual matters and should either ignore or not be diligent towards other aspects of our lives (education, health, work, etc.) But, there is a huge difference between the words “only” and “FIRST”.
Here, #Scripture tells the answer to prioritizing our pursuits - so that we can always enjoy balanced lives and sound thinking… something which (despite all its attempts) the world still cannot figure out!
Living a full, #balancedlife and loving GOD are not mutually exclusive… they are meant to be synonymous, but they just have an order.
We don’t have to fall for the trick that the path to happiness and fulfillment of our priorities, starts by gradually walking away from GOD’s spiritual priorities.
Like those wildflowers, all of us are ‘green’ (inexperienced) when it comes to living life. But that doesn’t have to prevent us from allowing #GOD to show us how to blossom and be beautifully arrayed.
