COMPLETENESS

SYNONYMS: Fullness, wholeness.

ANTONYMS: Emptiness, insufficiency

It’s said that “optimists see the cup as half-full, pessimists as half-empty” (regarding self and life.) Scripture teaches the missing perspective: “seeing ourselves as being made complete with access to a life of no lack…” Something the world wouldn’t think possible.

“And you are complete in (by way of) #Christ…” [Col.2:10]

“May you fully experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” [Eph.3:19]

“Remain obedient to The Lord, all you chosen people of His, for His loyal followers will not lack anything!” [Psa. 34:9]

Counter to what the world believes, spiritual completeness is something we RECEIVE not ACHIEVE. Christ completed what God sent him to accomplish on our behalf, as a gift to us. We can choose to put this gift to good use:

“So God can show us throughout all future ages, the incredible wealth of His grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all He has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus. God ‘saved’ (made whole/complete) you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.” [Eph. 2:7,8]

You’re not half-full nor half-empty… in Christ you ARE COMPLETE!
