Choosing What's Best

“Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things; but only one thing is necessary; because Mary has chosen that portion which is better, she will not be deprived of it.” [Lk.10:41,42]

Many things compete for our time and attention. Trying to address everything without establishing priorities is like staring at a wall of clocks - each telling a different time. It’s easy to forget what time it actually is and difficult to determine how much we can accomplish in light of that.

Remembering what our True Priorities are helps us discern which portions of activity benefit us the most. This timeless biblical principle is certainly worth the time and effort it takes to cultivate.
